Beauty Cocktail & The Garden: Can Bordoy pays tribute to beauty and well-being

The emblematic, 5-star Grand Luxury establishment with 24 suites is once again revolutionising Palma’s Old Quarter, this time with a unique event in which guests can discover how to preserve their health, skin, hair and soul at the hands of experts.
The event, which is free of charge but with limited places, will take place on Friday 17th July, from 7 p.m. to 8.30 p.m.
Those who wish to complete the experience by tasting a gastronomic menu with cosmetic benefits can do so with an exquisite menu prepared by Andrés Benitez the chef of Botànic restaurant.
Can Bordoy Grand House & Garden has become, just a year and a half after opening, a reference point for the slow life to which many aspire. The largest private garden in Palma’s city centre, a cinematographic setting that invites one to relax, and a cosy, homely atmosphere are just some of the elements that have contributed to its status and position. However, behind the discreet facade of this 5-star Grand Luxury hotel, with 24 suites measuring between 30 and 80 square metres, lie many more secrets such as the authentic elixir of beauty and youth, which will be revealed to those attending the free, limited capacity event to be held on the 17th July from 7 p.m. to 8.30 p.m.
Premium beauty, bio-hairdressing, gentle make-up, and holistic experiences
This event aims to show how using certain premium beauty brands, plus organic hair care products and gentle make-up, along with unique treatments that combine certain exercises and postures with meditation, can produce a before and after effect in our physical and mental health. It will also feature vintage music played by DJ Colin Peters on the 1931 gramophone that currently presides in Can Bordoy’s lounge.
The people in charge of the event will be the manager of Can Bordoy’s spa, Ioana Gheorghiu, who will perform a facial cleansing and a massage on one half of a model’s face using the moisturising and firming properties of the exclusive brand Swiss Perfection, the world leader in cellular plant cosmetics. Dominique David, the famous stylist and founder of the hairdressing and cosmetics salon Boudoir by Dominique David, who will show the beneficial results of organic products and make-up on hair and skin, and last but not least Louka Leppard, international guru and renowned yoga coach of Hollywood stars such as Sienna Miller and Helena Bonham Carter, who will demonstrate some of Tulayoga’s amazing poses that help clients remove all physical and mental barriers to immerse themselves in a state of absolute peace and relaxation.
At the end of the presentations, attendees will receive gifts from the Boudoir by Dominique David brand and a 30 euro discount voucher, which they can use to buy Swiss Perfection products on-site (in Mallorca these products can be only be purchased in Can Bordoy), or they can be redeemed before 31st December for beauty treatments in the hotel spa.
Tasting menu with cosmetic benefits
Those who wish to complete this innovative workshop with a tasting menu with cosmetic benefits can do so by reserving a place for after the event. The menu, which costs 35 euros per person, includes an exquisite chef’s appetiser: Cold rice paper cannelloni with baby summer vegetables and Mallorcan almond soup (great for strengthening hair), Steamed avocado with spicy pumpkin cream, beluga lentils and bimis (a dish whose ingredients increase the skin’s luminosity) and a dessert created by Andrés Benítez to regenerate the soul, thanks to the sublime combination of “Braised strawberries and apricots with vanilla and caramel flan and herb sorbet”.
