The Yeti, Miju Lee expo in Can Bordoy Palma

Embark on a dreamlike journey through contemporary art and memory in the heart of Palma

Looking for something unique to do in Palma this autumn? One of the most captivating art exhibitions of 2025 awaits you at Can Bordoy Grand House & Garden. Yeti’s Garden is the latest immersive project by the renowned Korean artist Miju Lee.

From 14 August to 31 October, this internationally acclaimed five-star hotel will open its doors to an exhibition where art, history, and hospitality converge to create an unforgettable experience.

Contemporary art in a secret garden

Housed within a meticulously restored 16^(th)-century mansion, the Can Bordoy Grand House & Garden hotel in Palma is redefining the relationship between art and hospitality.

In collaboration with the Marc Bibiloni Gallery in Madrid, this urban oasis has been transformed into an innovative art space, where historic architecture and the living memory of the house coexist seamlessly alongside works of art.

It is within this unique setting that Yeti’s Garden was born: an intimate and poetic installation by visual artist Miju Lee, which transforms every corner of Can Bordoy into a sensory experience.

Miju Lee: An intimate and symbolic universe

Born in Busan, South Korea, in 1982, Miju Lee has established herself as one of the most distinctive voices in contemporary Korean art. Often described as soft, emotional and introspective, she draws inspiration from everyday scenes, reimagining them through a combination of painting, sculpture and drawing to create emotional landscapes.

At the heart of Yeti’s Garden, we encounter her iconic Yeti figure: a tender and enigmatic being that inhabits the threshold between the visible and the invisible, and between wakefulness and dreams. For Lee, art is a symbolic mirror that invites introspection — a concept realised beautifully in this exhibition.

Art and hospitality: a new way of experiencing art!

This exhibition is truly special, thanks to its immersive staging at Can Bordoy Grand House & Garden — recognised as Europe’s best all-suite hotel for five consecutive years.

Here, art is not confined to a white cube. Instead, Lee’s works engage in dialogue with historic corridors adorned with 19th-century frescoes, noble salons filled with timeless furniture, and Palma’s old town’s largest private garden.

This innovative approach enhances the visitor experience, establishing Can Bordoy as a key player in Palma’s cultural landscape and offering a fresh perspective on contemporary art.

This cultural alliance cements Palma’s status as an art destination.

Yeti’s Garden also marks the beginning of a long-term collaboration between the Marc Bibiloni Gallery and Can Bordoy Grand House & Garden. Together, we aim to showcase the finest contemporary art in Mallorca, paving the way for future exhibitions that will further consolidate Palma’s reputation as a leading Mediterranean destination for art and culture.

An experience for all the senses!

Combine a visit to the exhibition with a culinary journey at Botànic, Can Bordoy’s signature restaurant. Here, each dish tells a sensory story inspired by the travels of a Mallorcan sailor, offering an experience that, much like Lee’s art, invites guests to dream with their eyes wide open.

Whether you’re an art lover in Palma, a curious traveller, or simply looking for cultural events in Mallorca, this exhibition offers a unique opportunity to connect with beauty, memory, and emotion.

Yeti’s Garden is open until 31 October, and entry is free!
